The CEI "Studii Salamantini" has and important international scope, having as priority objective to consolidate the presence
of the University of Salamanca inside and outside of the national territory.
With this objective, the Iberian-Transborder Platform to motivate the cooperation between all kinds of socio-economig agents
(universities, technological centres and parks, companies, governments, social agents, etc.), in order to become a meeting
place for the exchange of experiences, that makes possible the knowledge exchange and the cooperation, mainly, but not only,
in Biosciences and Spanish; pilars of the CEI Project.
In line with the evolution of the University of Salamanca, cooperation with Portugal and Brazil is a priority. The University
of Salamanca already has some strategic allies in Protuguese world and Latin America, which means that the consolidation of
the transborder network will take place immediately, due to a clear identification of the potential partners and the aims of
the collaboration.
The development of the platform is scheduled in three stages:

Between its most outstanding action is needed to emphasize due to their collaborative nature and long scope:

Panama Centre for Excellence
The aim is to create a Centre for Excellence in the “City of Knowledge” in Panama, in collaboration with the CEI, the Health Universitat de Barcelona Campus HUBc, the BKC Knowledge Campus and CamBio, the Campus de Excelencia Internacional en Medio Ambiente, Biodiversidad y Cambio Global. It would involve the setting-up of a “platform” of Spanish universities in order to implement undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, joint degrees and double majors, and courses in professional training, all designed, created and implemented in collaboration with CEI partners, the universities of Panama and the group of institutions and public and private companies participating in the project.

Network of Brazilian Universities
The aim of this network is to create a double Master’s course for the training of teachers of Spanish as a Foreign Language by means of new agreements with academic institutions with whom we already have agreements; this would involve the design and development of the academic programme and activities necessary for recognition of the Master’s degree in the evaluating agencies of both countries. The degree programme would be linked to the Postgraduate Schools in the universities forming part of the network.
